What is Exercise with Oxygen Training?
At Peak Life Holistics in Somers, we offer Exercise with Oxygen Training (EWOT) to increase oxygen to the lungs, blood, body, and brain, enhancing overall functioning. EWOT improves cellular health and promotes well-being by increasing the amount of oxygen available to the body during exercise.
How Does EWOT Work?
During an EWOT session, you wear a specialized mask or nasal cannula that delivers higher levels of oxygen, typically at a concentration of 90-95%. This setup is connected to a machine that generates the oxygen. While breathing in this enriched air, you perform exercises using a stationary or recumbent bicycle.

EWOT vs. Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy
At Peak Life Holistics, we offer an advanced adaptive contrast training program known as EWOT. Our sessions involve alternating between breathing air containing 11% and 95% oxygen levels, which is different from the normal breathing oxygen level of approximately 23%. This process enhances CO2 levels in the lungs, followed by a switch to 95% oxygen, which is then highly absorbed into the bloodstream.
This method results in improved cellular vitality, tissue repair, and overall function, making it more efficient than using a Hyperbaric Oxygen Chamber. EWOT sessions last only 10-15 minutes, while Hyperbaric Chamber sessions can run from 60-120 minutes, offering a quicker yet equally effective alternative.
