Infrared Saunas at Peak Life Holistics in Somers, NY

Relax & Detox
Sweat & Rejuvenate in our full-spectrum Infrared Saunas.
What is an Infrared Sauna?
Advances in technology have helped us to harness the power of Infrared Light, an invisible part of the light spectrum consisting of near, mid and far rays. These warming rays penetrate the body at different depths, gently and safely heating the body from within, and facilitate a detoxification process from the cellular, organ and skin levels. An Infrared Sauna session assists the body with blood flow, circulation, and deep detoxification through sweating.
Sauna sessions also simulate the effects of a cardiovascular workout (without the work): raising the metabolism and heart rate, burning fat, and increasing circulation and detoxification.
Sauna sessions also help to facilitate a deep rejuvenation and reset of the nervous system, where your body and muscles can take a much needed break from the daily stressors of life and enjoy deep relaxation in the soothing heat.
Infrared Sauna Benefits:
Using an infrared sauna offers a wide range of health benefits that go well beyond relaxation. Sauna sessions facilitate a full-body detoxification by helping the body to release heavy metals, toxins, and drug residues, while also stimulating the metabolism and encouraging fat and calorie burn. Regular use increases blood flow and circulation, reduces inflammation, and supports the immune system—making it a powerful ally for overall wellness. Infrared heat helps lower blood pressure and stress levels, promotes the release of toxins stored in fat, and leaves you with a radiant, youthful glow. Our clients often report feeling deeply relaxed, rejuvenated, and with greater well-being after each session.

Sweat it Out
We suggest drinking several glasses of filtered water (preferably with electrolytes) before, during and after your session to help flush out toxins and stay hydrated.
We offer two types of Saunas to choose from:
Our Main Sauna is a Sunlighten MPulse which comfortably seats up to 4 guests.
We also have a Pop-Up Sauna for 1 person (perfect if you prefer to keep your head out).
With either option, we provide towels, water to stay hydrated, and a shower to rinse off if needed.
Relax deeply, flush out toxins, boost circulation, support metabolism and cardiovascular health, strengthen immunity, and enjoy radiant skin.
Infrared Sauna vs Red Light Therapy
While both Infrared Heat (as used in the sauna) and Red Light Therapy are lpart of the light spectrum and ight technologies, they function differently and offer different benefits. Infrared saunas use an invisible part of the light spectrum to gently heat the body from within. Infrared heat promotes sweating, which supports detoxification from heavy metals, toxins, and other residues. It also increases circulation, reduces inflammation, relaxes muscles, supports immune function, and induces a calming, parasympathetic state. The result is often a full-body sense of release, improved vitality, and deep relaxation.
Red light therapy—also known as photobiomodulation—uses red wavelengths from the visible part of the light spectrum for skin and underlying tissue, muscle and even bone health. These wavelengths stimulate mitochondrial activity and enhance ATP (cellular energy) production, which in turn support cellular repair, reduced inflammation, and promote collagen production and hair growth. Red light therapy is often used to improve skin tone and texture, speed wound healing, ease joint and muscle pain, and support cognitive and hormonal balance.
Frequently Asked Questions
What are the benefits of Infrared Sauna Use?
An infrared sauna offers a wide range of health benefits. It facilitates a full-body detox by helping the body release heavy metals, toxins, and drug residues, while also stimulating the metabolism and encouraging fat and calorie burn. Regular use increases blood flow and circulation, reduces inflammation, and supports the immune system—making it a powerful ally for overall wellness. How should I prepare for my Sauna Session?
It is important to properly hydrate before, during, and after sauna use to replenish lost fluids and help support the detoxification process. We recommend having at least 2 large glasses of filtered water before, during and after your session. Water helps to flush and hydrate your cells to move out toxins and waste. We suggest adding electrolytes or sea salt to your water to make sure you do not get depleted. You can also take a binder such as charcoal or chlorella to help bind toxins on the way out.
How often should I Sauna?
How often you should use a sauna depends on your individual health, goals, and heat tolerance. As a general guideline, most healthy adults can safely use a sauna 2-3 times per week for 30-60 minutes per session.
It is important to listen to your body and avoid overexertion or dehydration. If you have any underlying health conditions or are pregnant, you should consult with your healthcare provider first.
Help! I have trouble sweating. What should I do?
Three tips that can help facilitate sweating: dry brushing before your sauna, taking a hot shower before you go in, and drinking a cup of hot water all help to make you sweat. You may also need a little longer in the sauna to get your sweat glands working. We have found these tips to really help!
What should I wear?
Your sauna session is private so you can wear a bathing suit, a towel or robe, or go commando. We provide towels, and you are welcome to rinse off afterwards in our spa shower.
Can I bring a friend?
Sure! If you would like to bring a friend we offer a discounted price of $25 additional.
